Another wonderful meeting was held on Saturday 13 January with a good crowd of members eager to share and learn.
It was a pleasure to welcome Giddy Goat Patchwork who travelled with their shop which was very popular.
A spellbinding talk was given by Geraldine Cahill from Giddy Goat Patchwork. She amazed us with the volume and range of her work. Her enthusiasm and joy of quilting was infectious, and we were all left totally motivated.
Christmas was still in our minds as show and tell included some lovely festive work completed over the break. Along with a great range of other projects.
The afternoon workshop was tutored by Geraldine who guided us through making a key pouch using appliqué rods which was a new technique for many of us.
Next months meeting will be held on Saturday 10 February.
A full day workshop will be held on 2 March prior to the March meeting on the 9 March.
The workshop will be presented by textile artist Ethelda Ellis and will explore realistic applique from photographs using thread. Bookings can be made at the February meeting.
